Sydney Metro West - Western Tunnelling Package

Epic was engaged by a consortium comprising Gamuda Australia and Laing O’Rourke who are delivering the Sydney Metro West - Western Tunnelling Package on behalf of Sydney Metro. The project involves nine kilometres of twin metro rail tunnels between Westmead and Sydney Olympic Park, excavation for two new metro stations, a stabling and maintenance facility at Clyde and a precast facility at Eastern Creek.

Epic has supported the consortium as the lead consultant for contamination throughout the project lifecycle. Epic has led the assessment of the two station sites and the significant area comprising the future stabling and maintenance facility. Following investigation, Epic has developed robust remediation action plans and strategies to enable ongoing commercial/industrial landuse across the sites. Epic has also completed the validation services and reporting as well as developing long term environmental management plans where required.

Epic has also provided related services such as hydrogeological services, water pollution impact assessment and quantitative risk assessment.
