Environmental Approvals and Management
Epic has extensive experience in managing projects through their statutory approvals processes. Our practical understanding of State / Territory and Commonwealth legislation means we can deliver pragmatic conditions of approval, develop environmental management systems (EMSs), undertake compliance and EMS auditing, and provide strategic advisory services to assist in early development phases. Our knowledge in best management practice, Environment Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks, combined with our experience in system implementation, enables us to develop practical and easily implementable approvals strategies and EMSs. Our team is conversant in all areas of technical assessment and Environmental Impact Assessments required to support applications, enable project development, achieve ESG objectives and to ensure compliance with conditions of approval.
Mine Closure and Rehabilitation
Epic is working extensively in the mine closure and rehabilitation space, assisting clients with gaining Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plans (PRCP), Estimated Rehabilitation Cost (ERC) approvals and delivering remediation and rehabilitation solutions to complex legacy issues. Ultimately, the intention is for land to be returned to traditional owners and the State, so compliance with stringent guidelines and criteria is balanced with practical risk appraisals and management. With our in-house experts and external technical partners, Epic is delivering solutions with residual waste management, NORM, EMR and land contamination, ecological performance, offsetting and management of engagement with community and regulators.
