EPIC ESSENTIALS
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team. If you are an Environmental Scientist / Engineer with 2-5 years’ experience, we’d like to hear from you!
We have a strong pipeline of projects across all market sectors and are looking to grow our project delivery team. The role will see you will be involved in the delivery of contaminated land management investigation and remediation projects while developing your project management and leadership skills.
Based in our Brisbane office you will be integrated in one of Queensland’s largest contaminated land focussed teams of 18 professionals and will interface with technical specialists including:
Two contaminated land auditors based in Brisbane and certified in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, NT and TAS
Three Certified Environmental Practitioner Site Contamination Specialists (CEnvP-SC)
Numerous general CEnvP practitioners
Epic strongly believes in supporting individual development. In addition to delivering project work you will be supported and encouraged to undertake continuing professional development including active involvement in industry groups and relevant training courses.
As a member of the Contaminated Land Team, this position offers diverse tasks and will see you involved in:
Assisting in the delivery of a variety of projects across multiple sectors requiring Contaminated Land investigations and assessments
Undertaking field investigations, data interpretation, and report preparation
Supporting and managing the delivery of PSIs, DSI, RAPs, Due Diligence assessments and more
Supporting various remediation tasks and developing your skills in remediation design and managing complex remediation sites
Gaining exposure to preparing proposals and tenders to support our winning strategy
Preparing written reports including a high level of attention to detail, using an objective driven focus
Participating in strategy and innovation within the company to foster continued improvement
Participating in internal and external presentations to demonstrate learning and knowledge
Demonstrating your industry knowledge and experience to develop and maintain client relationships
Developing your project management skills
Opportunity to develop team leadership skills
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following:
2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role ideally with at least 1 year operating in Australia
Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution in environmental science, soil science, hydrogeology, geology or environmental engineering or similar relevant degree
Keen interest in contaminated land and assessing and managing contaminated sites
Knowledge of relevant QLD Environmental legislation and relevant contaminated land guidelines such as the NEPM (Assessment of Site Contamination)
Exposure to report writing and developing innovative approaches to solving client problems
Understanding and experience in sampling methodologies for soil, surface water and groundwater
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated team player and able to self-motivate and take ownership of and be accountable for the delivery of contaminated land tasks and projects
Keen interest in professional development and continual learning
