EPIC ESSENTIALS

We are looking for a talented Principal Environmental Planner / Scientist with a minimum of 15 years’ experience, we’d like to hear from you! The role will also afford team leadership opportunities for candidates who are looking to further their leadership skills.


In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of environmental projects with a focus on statutory approval processes, construction management and environmental compliance. A solid understanding of VIC, and Commonwealth environmental legislation would be highly regarded in this role. Core tasks will include writing reports and impact assessments, researching literature and regulatory requirements, writing internal and client correspondence and reports as well as mentoring junior team members. Fieldworks will be required from time to time.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following:.


· Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution in environmental science, environmental planning or similar relevant degree

· A minimum of 15 years’ experience operating in Australia

· Experience with VIC environmental and planning legislation

· Experience with statutory approvals processes

· Demonstrated ability to liaise with clients and other stakeholders

· Demonstrated project management experience

· Experience in relevant environmental documentation

· Ability to seek, evaluate, and pursue business opportunities within the context of organisational goals and strategic goals

· Ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships with new and future clients

· Ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the business

· Ability to promote the company to market through networks and active involvement in professional bodies

· Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities within Epic

· Willingness to present at industry forums as part of marketing Epic to the industry

· Willingness to actively train and mentor junior staff

· Experience in environmental consultancy is desirable

· Experience with Commonwealth environmental legislation is desirable
