EPIC ESSENTIALS
A new role has been created for a financial accountant to join a growing environmental consulting business located in the Brisbane CBD. You will form part of the business support team and support the business across our Australian footprint but also work closely with our US corporate accounting team. It is an exciting time for the business as we move from Xero to Workday as our new ERP. Reporting to the commercial manager your tasks will include:
Ensure the successful completion of the monthly month end close activities
Quarterly budgeting and forecasting
Providing analysis and commentary to support management reporting as required.
Assist the Commercial manager with special projects. Including integration into new ERP system Workday 1 July 2025.
Complete compliance reporting including BAS and Payroll Tax
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Manage budgets and variance analysis
Attend to internal and external auditors’ questions for information
Assist business support team staff and general staff with their AP/AR questions.
Contract Accounting Review:
Receive and review incoming contract requests from project managers.
Review contract terms and conditions for accounting treatment.
Identify any potential risks or areas requiring clarification.
Utilize Workday to efficiently store, track, and manage contracts.
Serve as a point of contact for questions related to the contract setup process.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following:
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role
Preferably CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)
