This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Diverse project opportunities including renewable projects, critical state significant infrastructure projects, property due diligence investigations, transport and defence sites
Undertaking site investigations including soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling
Planning and conducting field works, including supervision, and engagement with subcontractors and clients
Preliminary, targeted, and detailed site investigations, remedial action plans and validation reports, HSE and environment plans
Contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects

EPIC ESSENTIALS
Our Adelaide office is seeking an enthusiastic scientist with 3-5 years’ experience to join our Contaminated Land Team. You will join a Adelaide based team and will work closely with our national team of over 35 land and water professionals.
We have a strong pipeline of projects across all sectors of the contaminated land industry and are looking to grow our project delivery team. Under the direction of our team leader and senior and principal staff, you will be supported to ‘carve your own journey’ while supporting the delivery of complex contaminated land projects.
Core tasks will include field investigation and data gathering, data interpretation and analysis, proposal writing, audit review, with an emphasis on, literature research, project management, and writing internal and client correspondence, and technical reports.
Epic’s project and client diversity will ensure the successful candidate is introduced to the many exciting elements of environmental consulting. The opportunity will exist to travel to various project locations throughout SA and interstate (particularly NSW, QLD, Vic and NT).
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following:
Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution
3-5 years’ experience in an environmental consulting role, ideally within contaminated land
An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn new skills and soak up knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
The ability to collaborate in a team environment and be able to self-motivate
The ability to take ownership of and be accountable for the delivery of tasks and projects
Experience in supporting key aspects of project management and administration, as well as subcontractor and HSE management
Interest and ability to travel to various locations and work outside on diverse and interesting project sites is essential
